They made their home in Bettendorf, Iowa, and upon retirement, split time in Bettendorf and Port Charlotte, Florida, before a permanent move to Port Charlotte, Florida.

Glen had a beautiful bass singing voice and was a member of the church choir as well as the hand bell choir at Asbury United Methodist church in Bettendorf. He practiced the bells at home with different sized wooden spoons that represented the different bells that he used. He loved to sing Handel’s Messiah every year at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. Glen was a member of the Punta Gorda United Methodist Church choir in Punta Gorda, Florida, as well as a barbershop group that sang at nursing homes in that area.
