Lillian Jean Maxwell (Kridler)
Lillian Jean Maxwell, 76, of Wilton, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. Cremation rites have been facilitated by the FCS Life Transition and Cremation Center, located within Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice in Jean’s name. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. The Geo. M. Lillian Jean Kridler was born on April 28, 1939 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, the daughter of Perry and Ann (Polerecky) Kridler. On June 5, 1999, Jean was united in marriage to John Maxwell in Wilton, Iowa. Jean retired after several years as the office manager of the Salvation Army. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wilton. She loved spending time with her Morkie and Yorkie, crocheting, flower gardening and performing as a songstress. One of Jeans most well-known traits was her ability to always be head-to-toe color- coordinated.
Jean will be deeply missed by her husband, John of Wilton; children, Major Joseph (Lois) Wheeler, Jr. of Des Plaines, IL, Teletha (Dave) Maxson of Muscatine, Tina (Rodney) Tysman of Baroda, MI, Vicki McDaniel of Three Rivers, MI and Jamie (Chad) O’Bryant Canton, GA; step-children, Jennifer (Mike) Thomas of West Branch and Julia Edwards of South Riding, VA; brother, Bob (Mary) Bayman Watervliet, MI and sister, Phyllis Wright of Opelika, AL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Judy and Robert Wheeler and one brother, John Wrigglesworth.
