Charles Gordon "Chuck"  Ricketts
Charles “Chuck” G. Ricketts, 70, of Davenport formerly of Buffalo, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island, Illinois. Visitation for Charles will be held on Tuesday, June 23rd from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 23rd at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fairport Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Charles’s name. Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Charles Gordon Ricketts was born on September 20, 1944, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Charles and Dorothy (Day) Ricketts. On March 18, 1967, Charles was united in marriage to Sharon Critten in Buffalo. Charles worked for Linwood Mining and Stone for nineteen years. He enjoyed watching eagles, western movies, wrestling, listening to gospel music and, most of all, loved spending time with his family.

Charles will be deeply missed by his wife, Sharon Ricketts of Davenport; four children, Lisa Kroeger (Joe), Terri Alberson (Kenny), Charlie Ricketts (Sherri), all of Davenport and Rebecca Ricketts (David) of Montezuma; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Nancy Goreham of Fairport, Dixie Goreham (Jim), Betty Bohling (Richard), Roxie Hake (Randy), all of Muscatine.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ronnie Ricketts, Joey Ricketts and Leroy Ricketts; two sisters, Mary Baney and Rachel Ricketts; and two brothers-in-law, Nova Baney and Bob Goreham.
