Christmas Tree Lighting Service
Christmas is a time to love and remember those we have loved and cared for. As some face this holiday season, after the death of a loved one, it is difficult to know how to express the love that still exists for that significant person who has been a part of their lives. A Christmas Tree Lighting Service time of remembrance and dedication will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of the Community Garden Mausoleum at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.
Individuals names will be called and families are encouraged to bring their own personalized Christmas Tree Ornament to hang on the tree in dedication of their loved one. Families served by the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services and Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery may also receive their personalized Christmas Ornament as names are recognized. The community and friends of families are also welcome to attend.

Worldwide Candle Lighting Service
“That their light may always shine” is the theme of parents that will participating in a candle lighting service that is held annually on the second Sunday of December as a way for all caring persons to remember those children who have died. The Worldwide Candle Lighting Service is made up of hundreds of memorial services around the globe held in parks, churches and other public places by The Compassionate Friends chapters as well as bereaved parents, friends and relatives to create a 24-hour wave of light in memory of all children who have died.

Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is sponsoring the Muscatine Chapter of The Compassionate Friends Candle Lighting Service on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 6:30 PM at the Bereavement center of the Geo.
