Elizabeth Grace  Dillavou (Simmons)
Elizabeth G. Dillavou, 70, of Washington, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at her sister’s home in Muscatine. Cremation Rites have been facilitated by the FCS Life Transition and Cremation Center located within Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation or funeral service per her wishes. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Elizabeth’s name. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for Elizabeth’s arrangements and her family.

Elizabeth Grace Simmons was born on February 20, 1943 in Buffalo, Iowa, the daughter of Cecil and Mildred H. (Hanft) Simmons. She had been united in marriage to Butch Dillavou. Elizabeth attended church in Washington, Iowa, enjoyed puzzles, reading, cooking and especially spending time with her family.

Elizabeth will be deeply missed by her children, Valerie (Donald) Moeller of Muscatine, Anthony (Tina) Clark of Knoxville, Renea (Jerry) Lamb of Middletown, Mark (Marie) Dillavou of Fairfield and Julia (Mark) Tartar of Washington; siblings, Cecil Simmons, Barbara Freeman, Jeanne Stork, Susan Parrish, Mary Berardi, and Sara Andersen of Muscatine.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Lou and Robert Simmons and one sister, Julia Simmons .
