Obituary for Albert Ulin

Albert Ulin, 68, of Lone Tree, died Sunday, December 25, 2005 at his home following a sudden illness. Funeral services for Albert will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at the United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree. Loren Yoder will officiate. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Gary Slaughter, Dave Weber, Bob Bontrager, Jeff Terhune, Mark Tappan and John Boardman. Following the committal service at the cemetery, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the United Presbyterian Church. Visitation for Albert will be held on Tuesday, December 27, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in memory of Albert. Sympathy notes may be left for the Ulin family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Albert Elton Ulin was born on August 29, 1937, in Hayesville the son of Dwight and Rubie (Fischer) Ulin. On March 21, 1964, Albert was united in marriage to Janette Meyer at the E and R Church in Lone Tree. Albert worked for the University of Iowa as a Material Handler retiring on November 2, 2004 after 25 years. Albert was a member of Pheasants Forever, Iowa Whitetail and the N.R.A. He enjoyed hunting, going to the West Liberty Raceway, fishing, camping and his Chevy Pickup.

Albert will be deeply missed by his wife, Janette of Lone Tree; one son, Jerry Ulin and his wife, Kris of Grinnell; two daughters, Marsha Keever and her husband, Joseph of Hedrick and Lisa Ulin and her friend, Bryan Campbell of Lone Tree; one grandson, Zachary Ulin and his mother, Rubie Raben of Lone Tree.

Albert was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Melvin.
