Condolences

Condolence From: Christine Pearson-Masterson
Condolence: Norma was a good friend to the Pearson family. Norma worked as the Office Manager for Drs Roy and Stella Pearson for over twenty years. My Grandfather, Dr. Roy, always described Norma as a hardworking, honest and dependable manager for their practice. When I was a little girl I remember Norma walking down Mulberry Street with a baby carriage taking her granddaughter Kim on a daily walk. I would always run to meet up with them and Norma always had a big smile and would say well hello there Cricket! Norma then attended and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Later in my teen years Norma taught me the correct way to work at my Grandfather’s office on Young Street. I would work with her part-time after school. After Drs. Roy and Stella past, Norma helped my Grandmother Ona daily. When my Grandmother was suffering with advanced Alzheimer’s the nurses at the Lutheran Homes could not get her to eat her food, but Norma could and Norma would go there everyday to feed her. God Bless you Norma, Rest in Peace.

Condolence From: Robert Schmaltz
Condolence: Norma and I attended the same church for many years. It would be difficult to find a more dedicated and patient woman. I say patient because she never seemed to complain about her personal circumstances, including bodily aches and pains that came with age. She was a great inspiration to me, and I made sure that I never complained of a headache anywhere near her. I say dedicated because she was probably the most faithful churchgoer that I ever met. I do not remember her missing a day of worship for sickness or anything else. When I first met her she was in her seventies, and she still loved to sing an occasional hymn for the congregation - until her eyes would not allow her to read the words from the hymnal. Her memory left her in her later life, and I was saddened that she no longer remembered me when I would see her at the nursing home, but I know that she is seeing and singing perfectly now. Bless you Norma, and thanks for being a friend to me and my family.
