Obituary for Jerry Lee Keller

Jerry L. Keller, 70, of Columbus Junction, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 30, 2014. Funeral services for Jerry will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. Burial will be in the Brighton Cemetery, following burial there will be a time for food and fellowship at the American Legion in Columbus Junction. Visitation for Jerry will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Jerry. Jerry Lee Keller was born on March 28, 1944, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Charles Lee and Mary Elizabeth (Weidner) Keller. Jerry was united in marriage to Elizabeth Ann Wells on February 1, 1964 and they later divorced. Jerry owned and operated Keller Home Furnishings in Columbus Junction for many years, and professionally installed floor coverings until he worked for GPC 20 plus years. He was a member of Columbus Junction United Methodist Church and the National Rifle Association. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, supporting his grand children in their sports and most of all spending time with family.

Jerry will be deeply missed by his children, Shari Meeker and her husband, Mark of Galesburg, Illinois, Gary Keller and his wife, Brenda of Columbus Junction; seven grandchildren, Jared Meeker and his wife, Suzie, Austin Meeker, Brandon Meeker, Ethan Meeker, Joel Keller, Jake Keller, Joshua Keller; one great-granddaughter Nadia Keller; one sister, Karen Arduser and her husband, Wendell and one niece, Kim Martin.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Rodney Keller.
