Delbert Dale  Ketelsen
Delbert D. Ketelsen, 81, of Muscatine, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Premier Estates of Muscatine. Funeral services for Delbert will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will be in the Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites by the combined units of the V.F.W. Post 1565 and the American Legion Post #27. Visitation for Delbert will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Muscatine in memory of Delbert. Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Delbert Dale Ketelsen was born on August 4, 1933, in Wilton, Iowa the son of Arnold Thomas and Clara Louise (Allmandinger) Ketelsen. Delbert served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict attaining the rank of Corporal. On November 3, 1957, Delbert was united in marriage to Olive Oleta Marston in Bennett, Iowa. He was a truck driver in the Muscatine area his entire life. Delbert was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and the Moose. He enjoyed working and attending the Durant Polka Festival.

Delbert will be missed by his sister, Arvella Pewe and husband, Eldon of Dixon, Iowa; brothers, William Ketelsen and wife, Janet of Durant, Curtis Ketelsen of Davenport and Ed Ketelsen and wife, Margaret of Tipton; and close friend, Gloria Fox of Stockton, Iowa.

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Olive, sisters, Deloris Spengler and Dorothy Scharff and brothers, Donald and Carl.
