Ruby A. Dilbeck, 84, of Princeton, Illinois, formerly of Nichols, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the Liberty Village Nursing Home in Princeton. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Carol Kaalberg will officiate. Interment will be in Nichols Cemetery. Following the interment a time of food and fellowship will be held at St. Mary’s Church Activity Hall in Nichols. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Ruby’s name. Ruby Alberta Titus was born on May 17, 1930 in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of George H. and Edna M. (Ash) Titus. On October 2, 1955, Ruby was united in marriage to Leon Dilbeck in Davenport, Iowa. Ruby was a nurse’s aide in the maternity ward at Muscatine Hospital. She was a member of the Nichols Christian Church and enjoyed puzzles, gardening, watching TV and listening to Christian music.

Ruby will be deeply missed by her four sons, Edward E. Saldivar of Parker, Colorado, James A. Dilbeck and his wife, Kathy of Magnolia, Illinois, Richard T. Dilbeck of Fulsom, California and Michael L. Dilbeck and his wife, Michele of Dixon, Illinois; one daughter, Debra K. Dilbeck and her fiancé Gary Vander Linden of Lone Tree; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Ada Stevenson of Rock Island, Illinois and Georgian Weikert of Plantville, Florida.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Roxanne Henderson, one granddaughter, Julie Saldivar, two great-granddaughters, Darien and Kaylee; three brothers; and two sisters.
