June M. Kleffmann, 80, of Muscatine, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Premier Estates in Muscatine. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Faith United Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Faith United Church of Christ with Pastor Robert Koepcke officiating. Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the church. Memorials may be directed to Faith United Church of Christ in June’s name. Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for the family and the arrangements.

June Marie Ellis was born on June 22, 1934 in Canton, South Dakota, the daughter of Milton Alfred and Marjorie Lunetta (Hicks) Ellis. On June 26, 1955, she was united in marriage to Kirby Kleffmann in Elkton, South Dakota. June had been employed at Muscatine High School as the attendance clerk. June was a member of Faith United Church of Christ and the Melon Patchers Quilting Club. She enjoyed participating in amateur radio, sewing, playing the piano and singing in the church choir.

June will be deeply missed by her children, Janet Kleffmann of Muscatine, Barbara Noble and husband, Jeffrey of Muscatine, Susan Muntz and husband, Curtis of Muscatine, and John Kleffmann and wife, Linda of Davenport; seven grandchildren, Sarah Noble-Hagerty and husband, Tom, Katherine Noble, Amanda Muntz, Rebecca Muntz, Adam Muntz, Austin Kleffmann and Dominic Kleffmann; one great-grandchild, Ellis Hagerty; one brother, Duane Ellis and wife, Irma of Brookings, South Dakota; two sisters, Betty Yeager and husband, Don of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Virginia Kurtz and husband, Raymond of Brookings, South Dakota; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and two sisters.
