Gladys P.  Krueger
Gladys P. Krueger, 97, of Lone Tree, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014, at Pioneer Park Care Center in Lone Tree. Funeral services for Gladys will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2014, at the United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Casket bearers will be family and friends. Following services at the cemetery a luncheon will be held at the church. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree. Memorials may be directed to the United Presbyterian Church and Lone Tree Senior Dining in memory of Gladys. Online condolences may be sent to the Krueger family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Gladys Pearle Attig was born on October 31, 1917, in rural Johnson County, Iowa the daughter of Emora G. and Hazel H. (Harned) Attig. On October 10, 1936, Gladys was united in marriage to Walter F. Krueger in Lone Tree. Gladys helped Walter on the family farm, was a cook for Warren’s Nursing Home, Farris Nursing Home, Lone Tree Health Care Center and a restaurant. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Farm Bureau, City Farmerettes, Women’s Relief Corps, Rebekahs, Fremont Homemakers, and sewed many clothes and blankets for missions. Gladys enjoyed spending time with family, sewing, crafts and gardening.

Gladys will be deeply missed by her sons, Duane K. Krueger of Lone Tree, Alan L. Krueger and wife, Judy of New Martinsville, West Virginia, Dwight D. Krueger and wife, Julie of Nichols and Ray E. Krueger and special friend, Francoise, of Australia; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Ronald D. Krueger and twin brothers.
