Edmond B. Kautz, 88, of Columbus Junction, formerly Muscatine, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery with military rites by the combined units of the V.F.W. Post 1565 and the American Legion Post #27. Visitation for Edmond will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Edmond’s name. Edmond Bert Kautz was born on April 19, 1926 in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Frank and Cora (Brier) Kautz. Edmond had proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. On November 17, 1945, he was united in marriage to Bessie Goodwin in Muscatine. Edmond retired from Starkist. He was a life member of the D.A.V. and the American Legion.

Edmond will be deeply missed by his children, Maynard Kautz and wife, Naomi of Muscatine; Bobbie Stoneking and husband, Richard of Columbus Junction, Patricia Hill and husband, Ivan of Mesa, Arizona, Sherry Wedekind of Milan and Cindy Goodwin and husband, John of Brandon, Florida; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Edmond was preceded in death by his parents; wife in 1996; two brothers, Clarence and Frank Kautz; and two grandsons, Matthew Paul Kautz and Raymond Arthur Westaway.
