Marisela Erives, 46, of West Liberty, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at Muscatine Memorial Park. Visitation for Marisela will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Marisela’s name. Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Marisela Benavente was born on June 27, 1968, in Durango, Mexico the daughter of Filimon and Florita (Soria) Benavente. In 1997, Marisela was united in marriage to Gilberto Erives in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Marisela was the owner/operator of Tortilleria El Norte, she was a very hard worker, loved dancing every chance she could with her husband and most of all spending time with her family.

Marisela will be deeply missed by her husband, Gilberto Erives of West Liberty; four children, Maritza Quiroz of California, Agustin Quiroz, Jazmine Erives and Omar Erives all of West Liberty; four grandchildren; mother Florita Benavente of Muscatine; and many loving sisters and brothers.

She was preceded in death by her father, and first grandchild.
